We are blinded. You are blinded. We look at the Bible and read what it says, and we think we see – but we don’t. An unimaginable trove of truth is hidden in plain sight on every page of your Bible, and you just can’t see it – no one can.

Case in point; you probably believe that devils and angels are completely different, and that there is no gray area between them – that angels are perfect and sinless, and all devils are completely opposed to God’s way, beyond all hope of redemption.

The thing is, that’s not what the Bible says – and you know that, you’ve read the verses that say otherwise, but you never really read them.

Are devils a different type of creature from angels? Or are they simply angels who do bad things?

Psalms 78:41, 49 Yea, they turned back and tempted God… He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

This tells us right away that angels and demons are simply a label, a description of the team they play for, and not a description of the species. How else does Satan appear just like any other holy angel? (2 Corinthians 11:14).

Satan was perfect, a holy angel, until the day that he sinned (Ezekiel 28:15). But he was, and still is, an angel! The same kind of being as Michael or Gabriel. The difference existed only in his heart, and was only discernible by his actions!

So are all demons equally committed to the rebellion? Jesus said that a cast-out devil sometimes “goes and gets seven other spirits more evil than himself” (Luke 11:26, BBE). Now if they are more evil, that would make him less evil, right?

That’s why Jesus said some devils are harder to cast out than others (Matthew 17:21). Because some are more stubbornly committed to disobedience than others!

On the other hand, if angels are all equally righteous, then why does Gabriel say that only Michael stands by his side against the evil angels ruling Greece and Persia?

Daniel 10:20-21 (BBE) …But I am going back to make war with the angel of Persia, and when I am gone, the angel of Greece will come… And there is no one on my side against these, but Michael, your angel.

So this is not the black and white, incorruptibly good vs. absolute evil battle we’re led to believe it is. The universally-believed idea that devils are incorrigibly evil and angels are unassailably holy is simply not what the Bible says. It is obviously – and I mean, obviously – not true.

The reality is, angels and demons form opposite ends of a political spectrum, and just as loyalists and rebels are both humans, so angels and demons are both the same type of creature!

Like human political parties, the ones on the far right always vote right, ones on the far left always vote left; and in the middle is a vast pool of swing votes.

And just as human factions vary in their degrees of commitment and fanaticism, so angels vary widely in their loyalty to, or hatred of, God’s laws.

This makes sense, because it’s how everything we’ve ever seen works; why would the angelic realm be different? Because even the most righteous angels with the best intentions make mistakes from time to time which are called sins.

Now before you object vehemently and say “Angels are sinless! They’re holy!!” I want you to think about it a second! Haven’t ALL sinned, and come short of the glory of God? (Romans 3:23). Are angels the exception??

If angels haven’t sinned at all… then why couldn’t an angel die for your sins? Why was there no creature in heaven who was worthy to open the seals on the book? Revelation 5:2-5. If angels were sinless, wouldn’t they have been worthy to open the seals?

Let’s ask a different question: if angels cannot sin, then do they need to repent? Of course not! So I want you to read this next verse. You might have read this verse a hundred times, and I’m willing to bet you never really SAW what it so plainly says!

Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write;

This letter is written to the church, right? That’s what everyone thinks. But is that what it says? Read it again!

Who is it written to? Is it written to a human minister? To a human church? Read it again! It’s written to the ANGEL. To whom? TO THE ANGEL in charge of that church!

Tired of me saying that? It’s the only way to break the tape that plays in your head when you read this verse, so you can read it with fresh eyes! OPEN eyes!

People are so sure they know what it means, they can’t see what it says! Everyone is sure this was written to a church, but it plainly says that it was written to an angel!

Why is that so important? Because if they can’t see who it was written to, they can’t hear what he – the angel – was told to do!

Revelation 2:1-2 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; …I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil…

Whose works? Whose labor? Whose patience? The church? A human minister? OR THE ANGEL OF THIS CHURCH? A holy angel who cannot bear those who are evil! But to that angel, God has something else to add:

Verse 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

God has something against whom? The church? Who was this addressed to, again?

Verse 5 Remember therefore from whence thou [Who? The ANGEL] art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, EXCEPT THOU REPENT.

Unless WHO repents? This was not written to humans! God TOLD US who this was written to, and all we have to do is LISTEN!

He told a GOOD angel who “could not bear those who are evil” that God had complaints about his actions! Because some of his actions were sins!

So He told this ANGEL, this basically good BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH angel, to REPENT OR ELSE!

Or else what? Or else he would to be treated like all sinners – all those who serve the devil! (2 Peter 2:19, Romans 6:16). To avoid that fate reserved for the devil and the angels who follow him, like this angel was starting to do, he had to REPENT! (Matthew 25:41).

But if angels can become devils… can devils ever become angels again? You really won’t believe how obvious the answer is!

Can devils repent? Pretty much any Christian in the world would answer with an adamant, “No! Devils are evil!”

As I said, we’re blinded. This is a tape that plays in peoples’ heads, something they’ve been taught was an absolute truth their whole lives… not something the Bible says.

Most people believe that the character of angels cannot change. But if that was true, then how did Lucifer – an angel – change from good to bad? And if angels can’t change, then how did Satan manage to change a third of them from loyal to rebellious?

And if they can change that way, why can’t they repent and change back again – just like every human who has ever lived will have to do??

I was raised like you were, to believe that angels were sinless and devils couldn’t repent. But I always had a problem with the idea that salvation is for humans alone.

Because if that’s true, it means God created angels to be a slave race. A race with no hope of advancement, a race that lives their entire eternal existence under the threat of death for the slightest sin.

Think about it; angels are servants of God (Revelation 19:10). Presumably, angels that are righteous get to keep being servants forever; angels that spill God’s coffee one time burn in hellfire for eternity. Imagine the pressure they’d be under! That doesn’t sound like a loving God, it sounds like a monster.

So let me put it to you this way – God is love. So how could God create angels, knowing they could, and therefore would, sin… and leave them no path for repentance?

Everyone in the world believes that He did just that; but the Bible is clear, very, very clear that He did no such thing. Why don’t you know where those verses are?

The salvation of angels is not a secret. We’ve just been too deaf to hear what the Bible screamed at us over and over again.

Things are only a secret until they are revealed. So why does no one know this today? Because you can’t teach someone who already has all the answers, and most Christians act like they do!

Ephesians 1:9-10 (Weymouth) when He made known to us the secret of His will. And this is in harmony with God’s merciful purpose for the government of the world when the times are ripe for it — the purpose which He has cherished in His own mind of restoring the whole creation to find its one Head in Christ; yes, things in Heaven and things on earth, to find their one Head in Him.

Think about what that actually says! Read the words, not the tape you’ve heard when this verse has been read to you in the past. What does it REALLY say??

It says God created the WHOLE creation. How can that NOT include angels? And we know that ALL have sinned, man and angels alike have fallen short of the glory of God!

And this verse tells us that God’s merciful purpose which He has made known to us is to restore that WHOLE CREATION to be a part of ONE BODY, the body of CHRIST! Specifically those things in HEAVEN which have sinned!

Colossians 1:16, 20 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: …And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile ALL THINGS unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or THINGS IN HEAVEN.

What do you want from God?? How much clearer could He have said it? How SPECIFIC did He need to be? He plainly – and I mean PLAINLY – said ALL THINGS are supposed to be reconciled BY THE BLOOD OF THE CROSS… things on Earth, AND THINGS IN HEAVEN!

And in case you were unclear on what “all things” really meant, Paul went on to specifically describe those things that are included! Visible humans AND invisible angels! Men who sit on thrones and the angels who stand behind them! (Daniel 11:1). Everything He created, including men AND angels, can be reconciled by the blood of His cross!

How much clearer could God be? Christ died so that ALL have an opportunity to be reconciled to Him! Because, of course He would have! How else can He be a merciful God who desires that ALL should come to repentance!! (2 Peter 3:9).

Why wouldn’t He want the angels, AND THE DEVILS, to come to repentance as well, if they will repent and do righteousness? Is God looking forward to killing anyone for their sins? Ezekiel 18:32. How can that not include angels?

Colossians 1:21-22 And you, [in heaven or on Earth!] that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you [man AND sinful angels] holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

This makes sense, because it’s what the God we serve SHOULD have done! Of COURSE He would have taught the gospel to ANYONE who would listen, man or angel alike, and the Bible says He already did!

Verse 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of THE GOSPEL, which ye have heard, and which was preached to EVERY CREATURE which is under heaven…

This no secret doctrine, hidden in awkward translations and dead languages! This is something the Bible is FULL of! What else do you suppose the Bible says that you haven’t heard?

This is not the tip of the iceberg. This is the snowflake on top of the tip of the iceberg. I cannot begin to articulate the sheer volume of easy answers in the Bible that you don’t know.

When people read the Bible today, they see the words, but they don’t really see what they say, because they’re too busy seeing what they remember someone telling them they meant.

What you’ve just read was not complicated. You didn’t need me to explain it to you – everything there was on the surface, in black and white on the pages of the Bible in verses you’d probably already read and maybe even knew by heart!

And yet, you couldn’t see it before because no one listens to the Bible today. They’re too busy telling it what they think it means to listen to what it says. I’ll teach you to listen. I’ll show you how to see.

The Bible is overflowing with answers to every question you have ever asked, and they’re pretty much all just as easy as this, and just as obviously on the surface of the Bible in plain English if you can just learn to see what you look at it and listen to what you hear.

So if you want to know what it really says, if you want to learn how to find things like this for yourself….
