Why did Satan fall?<\/p>\n

Didn\u2019t you ever wonder? Oh I know, the Bible says his pride lifted Him up, but WHY? Why wasn\u2019t he satisfied where he was? For that matter, where WAS he? And what did he hope to gain by being \u201cLike the most High?\u201d These questions are ALL reasonable, and ALL answerable with a Bible, some basic facts about the earth you live on, and a bit of thought. So let\u2019s answer them, shall we?<\/p>\n

In the beginning, God created the angels. He did this before the physical universe was created. This is proved by\u2026<\/p>\n

\n

Job 38:4<\/span>,<\/span>6-7<\/strong> Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?\u2026 or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Obviously, to be singing and shouting at the creation of the earth, they had have been made before then. As proof that God created the being who became Satan, and that he was among these angels, we offer\u2026<\/p>\n

\n

Ezekiel 28:15<\/span><\/strong> Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So Satan, or Lucifer as we will call him for the time being, was perfect from the day he was created (!)<\/strong>, until something triggered his rebellion. I\u2019ll get into the reasons he rebelled later, so for now suffice it to say that the reason he rebelled involved the earth. Therefore it is logical that he hadn\u2019t rebelled before it was created\u2026<\/p>\n

All the angels, Lucifer included, were overjoyed, ecstatic at the beauty of the universe! The creation was like nothing they had ever seen, and Lucifer was put in charge of the earth, with a third of the Angels. We know it was a third, because of\u2026<\/p>\n

\n

Revelation 12:4<\/span><\/strong> And his<\/em> [Satan\u2019s] tail drew the third part of the stars<\/em> [Angels] of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And we know that Lucifer was placed in charge of the earth by these twin scriptures\u2026<\/p>\n

\n

Jude 1:6<\/span><\/strong> And the angels which kept not their first estate<\/strong><\/em> [or office, or the place given to them to rule]<\/strong>, but left<\/strong> their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

2\u00a0Peter 2:4<\/span><\/strong> For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell<\/em> [Tartarus, a place of imprisonment pending judgment\u00a0\u2013 in this case, earth] , and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This shows that the angels were given a place to rule, and govern\u00a0\u2013 which, logically, could only be Earth\u00a0\u2013 and then, for some reason, there was an uprising and they LEFT that habitation, earth, and did something. We find out WHAT they did from another scripture,<\/p>\n

\n

Revelation 12:7<\/span><\/strong> And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We know that these three scriptures all describe the same time period, because they all describe the same events, each from a slightly different angle, adding more information each time.<\/p>\n

From the three of them, we can piece together that God placed a third of the angels, under the direction of Lucifer, the chief archangel, on earth to do something. Eventually, an uprising started and they LEFT earth, started a war in heaven, which ultimately led to Lucifer (Now Satan) and his Angels (now Devils) being cast down to the earth again, where they await final judgment.<\/p>\n

\n

Luke 10:18<\/span><\/strong> And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

At this time, there are approximately 60 Million Devils. This we deduce from<\/p>\n

\n

Revelation 5:11<\/span><\/strong> And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now if we assume that all angels are present here, which is, granted, an assumption, then if there are 100 million (10,000 X 10,000), plus millions (\u201cthousands of thousands\u201d)\u00a0\u2013 let\u2019s say for the sake of argument, 120 million righteous angels, and if Satan has already corrupted a third of the angels, that means 120 million represents two thirds of the total God created in the beginning, which means that Satan corrupted 60 million or so.<\/p>\n

\n

Hebrews 12:26-27<\/span><\/strong> Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven<\/strong>. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken,<\/strong> as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And this shows that the rebellion isn\u2019t over; more things in heaven will be \u201cshaken,\u201d to see which of those \u201cthings\u201d (Angels) cannot be shaken to join with the rebellion.<\/p>\n

But I still haven\u2019t explained two important things; WHY Satan rebelled, and WHAT God put them on earth to do. I will explain the latter first, since that is crucial to understanding the former.<\/p>\n

To recap, God created the Earth, and then for some as-yet-unexplained reason, placed 60 million angels under the charge of his wisest, brightest angel on it. Why? What did God need THAT MANY ANGELS on earth to do? Especially since He evidently wasn\u2019t planning on starting to create man anytime soon.<\/p>\n

So what were they doing here?<\/p>\n

This was the question that stumped me for many years. I finally found the answer in Geology and Paleontology, and no, I\u2019m not going towards the answer you think I am\u00a0\u2013 This has nothing to do with Dinosaurs. Well, very little to do with them. I have to digress at this point and fill you in on some background information.<\/p>\n

First, allow me to give you a basic introduction to Geology. Practically all the land on the Earth\u2019s surface is covered in layers of sedimentary rock, which are called strata. These strata are divided into two major groups; the Pre-cambrian, or non-fossil-bearing layers, and the fossil-bearing, or Cambrian layers.<\/p>\n

The vast majority of these layers, often stacked miles thick, are the result of Noah\u2019s flood. (I realize that this statement is contrary to popular scientific theory, but it is very easy to prove. If you\u2019d like more extensive proof, contact me<\/a> for my \u201cYoung Earth\u201d presentation.)<\/p>\n

\"Grand<\/p>\n

In this idealized cutaway of the Grand Canyon, above, the Precambrian layers are those on an angle. These are completely devoid of fossilized life. Scientists occasionally claim they found a carbon sample which \u201cCould only<\/strong> have come from the spores of a long-extinct moss\u201d<\/em>, or something similar, but\u00a0 nothing conclusive,\u00a0 and certainly no fossilized life as we understand the term.<\/p>\n

Immediately above that line, however, life is everywhere, fully developed and leaving fossils behind by the untold trillions. This is known as the \u201cCambrian explosion.\u201d This is the only clear, world-wide breaking point anywhere in the strata.<\/p>\n

All of the horizontal strata in the image above were deposited rapidly, by a cataclysmic event (Noah\u2019s flood). The Precambrian strata, while composed of essentially the same types of materials, and deposited in a similar manner, is considerably harder, which indicates that the Cambrian layers were deposited a significant amount of time AFTER the Precambrian was deposited.<\/p>\n

As we know, the primary purpose of Noah\u2019s flood was to destroy all life. But imagine, the earth covered in water for nearly a year. The tides, pulled by the moon, would not have continents to slow them down, so they could continue unchecked around the earth.<\/p>\n

This would create a suction in the silt washed off of the continents on the ocean floor, pulling water through it. If you\u2019ve ever put a shovelful of wet dirt in a bucket, sloshed it around, and then cut the dirt with a shovel, you\u2019ve seen the layers this creates. This phenomenon is called \u201cLiquifaction.\u201d<\/p>\n

This world-wide flood destroyed all life, and sorted it by density and weight through the sedimentary layers by liquefaction, giving us our Geologic column. (Again, my \u201cYoung Earth\u201d paper has details).<\/p>\n

The fascinating part is, that I can prove that Noah\u2019s flood wasn\u2019t the first time the earth was destroyed in a world-wide flood! Look at the image of the Grand Canyon again. See how the Precambrian layers are tilted at a 25 degree angle? And remember, that they had no life in them?<\/p>\n

They are definitely sedimentary layers, but they were laid down at a different angle, hence at a different time and in a different position, and most revealing, they were laid down at a time when there was no life on earth to kill!<\/p>\n

The sedimentary layers are like a snapshot of the Biology of the earth. And when the Precambrian was deposited, there was no life on earth\u00a0\u2013 otherwise, it would be shown in the sediments!<\/p>\n

This proves, first and foremost, that the Precambrian WASN\u2019T deposited by Noah\u2019s flood, and secondly, that there have been two global floods on planet earth! During the most recent, that of Noah, there was life on earth\u00a0\u2013 during the previous however, there was no life on earth!<\/p>\n

This lets us fit another piece of the puzzle. After the war in heaven, which Satan lost, he did what any poor loser does\u00a0\u2013 he trashed everything he saw, including his home. When he returned from losing in heaven, he was without a doubt in one of the worst tantrum moods any being has ever had.<\/p>\n

\n

Luke 10:18<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Satan, after being cast back to earth, destroyed everything in a fit of insane rage\u00a0\u2013 all that had existed up to that point was cast into the ocean, and completely destroyed, so that when God was finally ready to create Adam, He found that\u2026<\/p>\n

\n

Genesis 1:2<\/span><\/strong> \u2026the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It was a complete wasteland, covered with water. Remember, we know that the Precambrian layers had ALREADY been deposited by this point, because God was about to create life, and any sediments laid down after this would HAVE TO HAVE LIFE in them!<\/p>\n

Therefore, the precambrian strata can ONLY HAVE BEEN LAID DOWN BEFORE THIS! Those sediments were deposited, all at once, by a catastrophic, global, flood. Sedimentary layers, like those composing the precambrian, are made out of very small pieces of broken rock, such as sand. So whatever soil existed before the creation of man, was destroyed by this flood, to create the Precambrian strata. That proves that land existed once upon a time, before the creation of man, when God found the earth \u201cWithout form, and void!\u201d<\/p>\n

And together with the other information I have shown, the only logical conclusion is that Satan\u2019s loss in heaven was responsible for the Precambrian strata being formed.<\/p>\n

To summarize again, Lucifer was placed here, then after some time led a war into heaven, was defeated, turned everything that existed on the earth at that time upside down, and destroyed it in a fit of rage. But what was he doing here, and what existed before he destroyed it?<\/p>\n

God didn\u2019t just leave Lucifer here to do nothing, with all that manpower. Or rather, angelpower. He had to have given him some objective to work towards. What was it? We can eliminate at least one possibility with certainty.<\/p>\n

Since there is no life found in the Precambrian, and the Precambrian was caused by\u00a0 the aftermath of Satan\u2019s rebellion, we can totally eliminate any possibility that Satan was working with life\u00a0\u2013 Dinosaurs or otherwise. The Precambrian fossils, or lack thereof, prove that. So why was<\/em> he here?<\/p>\n

Knowing the plan of God, and Lucifer\u2019s position as a ministering spirit to us (<\/span>Hebrews 1:14<\/span>)<\/span><\/strong>, we can only deduce that God placed Lucifer here with 60 million angels, to help prepare a place for man; to prepare the earth for the creation of Adam. But prepare it how?<\/p>\n

We have narrowed the possibilities considerably at this point, having eliminated the impossible, namely, anything involving life. So what is left? We, admittedly, know very little about the state of the original earth, before any of the floods.<\/p>\n

So if life is eliminated, what is left? Work on the atmosphere, the sea, or land? But couldn\u2019t God have done that? Couldn\u2019t God have created the land, or any part of the earth?<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, since He later did it himself in Genesis 1-2<\/span><\/strong>. But did He do it this time?<\/p>\n

Does He ever ask someone else to do things He can do Himself? Well, why didn\u2019t He just build His own temple, for example? Surely God<\/strong> could have done so. Or in the wilderness, why did He have the Israelites supply all the gold and silver, and then craft it, for the Tabernacle? Surely He didn\u2019t need their help\u2026<\/p>\n

So why did He? Because any sentient being needs something to DO to keep himself busy! To give his life purpose! He needs to feel that he adds something to the universe by his efforts. And God, of all people, knows this!<\/p>\n

And perhaps they had begged Him to let them help in the creation; much as a small child will beg you to let them help you work. That, of course, is only speculation. But it fits with what we know of the nature of sentient beings.<\/p>\n

Either way, by process of elimination, and deduction, my conclusion at this point is that the earth was created without sediments, without dry land, and that God placed Lucifer and 60 Million Angels here to prepare a place for man.<\/p>\n

Up to this point, then, let me summarize again; God placed Lucifer and his Angels here to prepare a place for man. And this worked fine for, evidently, quite some time. But eventually, this wasn\u2019t enough. For some reason, Lucifer wasn\u2019t satisfied and led a rebellion into heaven, lost, then returned and trashed the planet and turned it into a shapeless ball.<\/p>\n

Now, finally, the biggest question of all. WHAT WAS THAT REASON? WHY DID SATAN FALL?<\/p>\n

As you probably know, the plan of God was, from the beginning, to create new members for His family, who are to be actual, literal, Gods themselves. Beings who would have the power to give life to others<\/p>\n

\n

John 7:38<\/span><\/strong> He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

These \u201cliving waters,\u201d Christ says are symbolic of the holy spirit\u00a0\u2013 and it is that holy spirit that God breathed into the nostrils of Adam which conveyed LIFE to what was otherwise simply a lump of clay! And here He promises that He will give THOSE SAME WATERS that conveyed LIFE, and existence, and CONSCIOUSNESS to Adam\u2026 He will give THOSE WATERS to any one who believes on Him! Those beings would then have the POWER to CREATE life, and give it to others!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

And this plan of God was about the creation of incorruptible, perfect beings to rule the universe! Beings who could be TRUSTED with such awesome power as that! And as the top angel in that universe, Lucifer presumably knew at least the basics of this plan, at least as far as his part it in went. His job was to help these new beings to become God.<\/p>\n

\n

Hebrews 1:13-14<\/span><\/strong> But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

God never offered the Angels the chance to be God. They never had the opportunity to have rivers of living water\u00a0\u2013 water that actually GIVES LIFE flowing out from them. Furthermore, they were not made in the image of God, like you were. Their job was to minister to the needs of the heirs of the universe. You and me. I belabor this point because it is crucial that it be established beyond any question.<\/p>\n

\n

1\u00a0Timothy 6:16<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 Who ONLY hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

God ONLY has immortality, no other being does! And, at the moment, God ONLY has that river of living water flowing out of Him, God ONLY can give life!<\/p>\n

\n

John 5:26<\/span><\/strong> For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And God gave that life, and the ability to give life to others, to His Son. Others will also have this life\u2026 those whom He is even now grooming to be part of His family will one day have immortality themselves, and be able to give life to others. But not yet. No, for the time being, even the angels are superior to us.<\/p>\n

\n

Hebrews 2:7<\/span><\/strong> Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And now, it is time to pick up our story. We have all the facts we need to solve the puzzle. Have you put it together yet?\u00a0 Try to put yourself in Lucifer\u2019s shoes for a moment.<\/p>\n

You are on a planet, helping to prepare a place to create beings in the Image of God. You will be helping these inferior beings to one day rule you. And of course, you are the smartest, most beautiful creature ever to exist. Even God admitted that.<\/p>\n

\n

Ezekiel 28:12<\/span><\/strong> \u2026Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And one day, you start to think; what is the future in this? Why should I help to create beings in the image of God? Aren\u2019t *I* beautiful? Don\u2019t *I* deserve the right to create beings in *MY* image?<\/p>\n

\n

Ezekiel 28:17<\/span><\/strong> Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But then you stop; you realize that you are only an Archangel. You couldn\u2019t create anything in your image, no matter how hard you tried. Oh, you could make an excellent statue or perhaps even a life-like robot\u00a0\u2013 but you couldn\u2019t give anything life. God is the only one who can give life, and you know that. And you know God wouldn\u2019t give you that ability. He has reserved that ability for these man-beings. So what can you do?<\/p>\n

Ah-hah, you exclaim at last! You know what to do. You\u2019re brilliant. Strong. Powerful. And you have the element of surprise. If you could just get the Angels whom God placed under you to side with you, against God, you could stand a fighting chance at forcing God to give you the power to give life!<\/p>\n

\n

Isaiah 14:13-14<\/span><\/strong> For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God<\/strong>: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

You have a plan at last. You don\u2019t plan to kill God\u00a0\u2013 is it even possible, you muse? The universe, and you, might be destroyed if it were even possible.<\/p>\n

But no, you don\u2019t need that. All you have to do is establish that you are equal to God, force Him to respect you, and He\u2019ll have<\/em><\/strong> to give you this power to give life to others. To make beings in your own image. Then you\u2019ll truly be LIKE THE MOST HIGH.<\/p>\n

And it then will be just the three of you\u00a0\u2013 God, Christ, and You. The Trinity. And no one else will EVER be allowed into that power circle, because you don\u2019t want to share that right with anyone else. So once you force your way in, the Godhead will be closed forever. It\u2019s a good plan, you decide.<\/p>\n

All that remains to be done is to convince the angels to side with you. That proves to be a piece of cake, because not only are you a silver-tongued devil if ever there was one, but your idea appeals to their natures anyway.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you help me,\u201d you promise, \u201cI\u2019ll let you create beings in your own image.\u201d \u201cGod is unfair,\u201d you say. \u201cHe should give us liberty, the right to choose our own destiny, live life our own way.\u201d \u201cWhat gives HIM the right to say what right and wrong is, anyway?\u201d It is only too easy to convince them to help you.<\/p>\n

Finally, you decide the time is right; it\u2019s time to attack. You lead the strike up into heaven, and lay it on the line to God. You tell him you\u2019re tired of being oppressed, and it\u2019s time He shared some of the power with the rest of you. And if He didn\u2019t fork it over right now, He\u2019d be sorry!<\/p>\n

In His arrogance, God never even got up out of His throne. He never had to. Michael and his angels had you outnumbered, and even though your side fought bitterly, it was hopeless. You lost, but not forever! Maybe you couldn\u2019t take over the throne room now, but you COULD make sure no man ever got that position you coveted so desperately!<\/p>\n

You COULD deceive God\u2019s creations and make them sin, so that He would, by His own rules, have to destroy them! And you had one big advantage over God\u00a0\u2013 you aren\u2019t bound by those silly rules He is. You can use your sharp wit and slick tongue to make people do whatever your heart desired.<\/p>\n

And down the road, if you play your cards right, perhaps you can convince some of the other angels to join your cause. If you had more of the angels on your side you might have a fighting chance!<\/p>\n

Yes, maybe you lost today, but there would be other days. Other battles to fight. And one day, you\u2019ll prove to God that He was wrong all along, and He\u2019ll have no choice but to make you the third Deity in your Trinity.<\/p>\n

You can see the plan unfolding before you, as if it were happening before your eyes. It\u2019s all so clear\u2026 Eve, Cain, Nimrod, Jezebel, Rome\u2026 yes, it was far from over. And it was going to be a a glorious battle!<\/p>\n

So, you see, Lucifer had an excellent temptation to fall. He wanted to create beings in his own image. And to have the power of life and death. And that made him want to be God.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
